Lose Weight Naturally

Weight loss does not have to be hard, because human body does not like additional weight it has to carry, on contrary, it wants to give the weight up as soon as the body can, but we do not let it do so by eating excessive amounts of calories. Surely you can follow a diet and lose weight according to a plan established by doctors or nutrition specialists, but there is an easier way than following some planned diet and starving.
Although they usually say that a person needs 2,000 calories per day it is not always true because many people have faster or slower metabolism than average. The idea is to count base metabolic rate or BMR in order to see how many calories can be taken by your body without adding body weight.
It might sound difficult, but the calculations should be done once. A person does not even need to make charts or count numbers; there are several online BMR calculators which can be very helpful.
As soon as the right number is figured out, the participant can decide on what to eat to make up this number. It is not hard to figure out the fact that lower calorie intake than BMR requires will help to lose weight, but it is not going to be a healthy way to drop some pounds because some of this loss will be muscle mass not fat mass. So, the calories should be taken fully and without extra ones, but the food must be healthy.
Empty calorie food should be minimized. Fried and processed food, animal fats and fast foods are better off your everyday menu. Instead:
- Eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, grains and nuts.
- Reduce sugar and alcohol intake.
- Choose lean meat and fish, cut skin and fat off if they are present.
- Drink skim milk and use fat-free dairy products.
- Avoid frying food giving preference to broiling, roasting or steaming.
When the person figures out how much food he or she should eat to keep up and not exceed BMR level, the next weight loss step is going toward physical activity: if you eat the exact amount of the body needs providing enough of nutrients, exercises will help to get rid of extra calories and to lose weight.
The one should not become a sport master or even look for a coach in order to lose weight. Increased physical activity can start from simple walks. It is always good, delightful and healthy to have a 30 minute walk before going to bed. However, if a person has time to jog before work in the morning or have active afternoon with children or spouse, this will count too. The most important thing is to make the body move instead of sit on one spot for hours and watch movies or play videogames accumulating pounds from the food you eat.
